PVFD Open House

Swing by to get to know YOUR volunteer fire department and to learn a whole lot about fire safety. We'll have a special trailer to teach kids important lessons about fire safety, an extinguisher training tool to give adults a chance to learn hands-on how to extinguish fire with an extinguisher, and plenty of opportunity for kids and adults alike to get hands-on with our equiptment. Ever wanted to run a fire hose? Here's your chance. This event will be lots of fun for all ages and is totally free. Come on out and see what your fire department is up to!

PVFD Auction

Thrusday, July 26, 5pm

The famous auction returns! The PVFD auction is built quite a name for itself as one of the bets local charity auctions. Throughout the month of July, firefighters pick up donations from local residents. Donations may also be dropped off at the station. Items run the gammut from furniture to antiques to tools to collectables to art to power equiptment. These items all get auctioned off to the highest bidder! Come for the bargains or just enjoy the food and watch. It is great fun and all proceeds benefit the fire department. See you there!

Got donations? We begin accepting donations in July and conduct pickups until the week of the auction, or you can drop your donation off at the station, too. Call the station at 325-3222 to arrange a pickup. We accept donations of any item that can reasonably be sold (nothing broken or valueless, please– unsold items must be discarded at the fire department's expense), which a few exceptions: TV's and electronics, skis, clothing and mattresses are not accepted.

The auction is also a great way for local businesses to promote themselves and give back at the same time. Goods and gift certificates are accepted! Give us a call at 325-3222 if you'd like to get your business involved.
